Dressing Up For Beach Wedding

A wedding on the beach seems like an exotic idea; whether in Hawaii, Goa, or the beach-belt along South-East Asia. It could be a lot of fun, and a lot more informal, than the otherwise formal traditional wedding formats. In fact, in recent times a lot more people are opting for varied locations and themes for their wedding, rather than sticking to the age-old traditional rituals and methods.

A beach wedding calls for a different kind of planning, altogether. Firstly, it is the most informal type of wedding, where one would rather not wear a flowing wedding gown with heavy jewelry, et al. The bride should be as comfortable and casual, as she pleases. And the same should be told to the guests being invited. Remember, no one wants sand slipping into the finest and most expensive of clothes.

Dressing up for beach wedding means casual and yet classy, as well as elegant. Therefore, apart from the dress, which could be sleeveless and strappy, one needs accessories to go well. But this need not be expensive and flashy stuff. It could be something flowery, or even a pearl set would do the magic. Where footwear is concerned, experts recommend sandals (avoid very high heels - maximum an inch or two), of then flip-flops.

For the groom, well he can be as casual as the bride. That does not exactly mean beachwear. A recommend from some wedding stylists is a casual white shirt with a pair of linen trousers and a pair of beach footwear. As they the color white simply stands out on a sunny day, on the beach while celebrating your wedding.

Parents of the bride and groom should also opt for a casual look and expect to enjoy getting their kids married, as though going out on a picnic. Supposedly that is the entire behind a unique wedding celebration on the beach. Let the kids get into flowery dresses and the boys can wear their shorts with beach-shirts.

Importantly, when inviting friends and relatives do not forget to tell them that they should be causally dressed. Most guests overlook this and end up dressing up as though they are attending a typical traditional wedding. And obviously the bride and groom do not want embarrassed guests regretting what they wear in the midst of this wonderful celebration.
